About Clairable
Guided AI Strategy
Clairable is a guided AI strategy assistant for business owners and leaders who are asking, "Where do I even start with AI?" Whether you have a specific problem to solve or need inspiration from what others are doing, Clairable helps you discover practical AI opportunities.
Structured Process
Instead of dumping you into a blank chat box, Clairable offers two structured paths: work through a specific problem with our guided wizard, or explore AI ideas based on what similar businesses are doing. Both paths turn your input into practical AI use cases, suggested tools and a simple plan you can act on.
For Real Businesses
It is designed for real-world businesses that do not have a data science team, a big AI budget or months to write strategy documents. You bring your knowledge of your business, Clairable helps translate that into AI opportunities and next steps.
Getting started with Clairable
Clairable offers two ways to discover AI opportunities for your business, depending on where you're starting from.
I have a problem I want to solve
If you already know what's slowing you down, use our guided wizard to work through your specific challenge. Clairable guides you through six simple steps, starting with your real business problems and ending with a structured brief you can use to make decisions.
The wizard takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. You can pause and return later—your progress is saved. Each step builds on the previous one, so take your time to reflect on the questions. The final brief is designed to be shared with your team, board, vendors or advisors, so you can use it to facilitate conversations and make informed decisions.
I don't know where to start
Not sure what AI opportunities exist for your business? Answer a few questions about your industry, company size, and what you do, and we'll generate realistic AI opportunity ideas based on what similar businesses in your situation are doing right now.
This approach is perfect for organizations who feel pressure to "do something with AI" but aren't sure where to begin. By seeing what others in similar situations are exploring, you can discover opportunities you might not have considered. Once you select an idea that resonates, you can continue with the wizard to build out a detailed use case and solution options.
What you'll get
At the end of either path, you'll receive a comprehensive brief that includes: concrete AI use cases tailored to your industry and role; a realistic assessment of what's feasible given your constraints; suggested tool categories and approaches; a phased implementation roadmap; and simple ROI framing to help you prioritise and communicate value.
How to get the best results
Be specific about your problems—think about the daily tasks, bottlenecks and manual processes that slow you down. Consider your constraints, including budget, timeline, data access and compliance requirements. Add context when prompted—the more detail you provide about your workflows, systems and goals, the more tailored your results will be.
How Clairable works
Two paths to discovery
Problem-first approach: If you have a specific challenge, start with the problem wizard. You answer plain-language questions about your role, your team, your customers and the work that feels slow, manual or error-prone.
Idea-first approach: If you're not sure where to start, begin with idea suggestions. Answer a few questions about your business context (industry, company size, what you do), and we'll show you realistic AI opportunities based on what similar businesses in your situation are exploring right now. This helps you see what's working for others and discover opportunities you might not have considered.
Clairable translates your input into AI opportunities
Behind the scenes, Clairable uses carefully designed prompts and OpenAI models to suggest AI use cases that match your context and constraints. For idea suggestions, we draw on patterns from similar businesses to generate realistic opportunities that are relevant to your industry and situation.
You receive a structured, human-readable brief
You get a summary of your key problems, AI opportunities, potential tools, simple ROI thinking and suggested next steps, ready to share with colleagues, vendors or advisors.
You decide what to do next
Clairable does not lock you into a specific vendor. You can use the brief to pilot off-the-shelf tools, brief an implementation partner or guide internal discussions.
Discover what others in your situation are doing
One of the biggest challenges for organizations exploring AI is not knowing where to start. You might feel pressure to "do something with AI" but lack the context to know what's realistic, what's working for others, or what opportunities might be worth exploring.
Clairable's idea suggestions feature addresses this by showing you what similar businesses in your industry, company size, and region are exploring right now. By answering a few questions about your business context—your industry, company size, what you do, and your biggest challenges—we generate realistic AI opportunity ideas based on real patterns from similar organizations.
Why this helps
- See what's working: Discover AI applications that are already being explored by businesses like yours, giving you confidence that these opportunities are realistic and relevant.
- Expand your thinking: You might discover opportunities you hadn't considered, from automation to decision support to customer experience improvements.
- Learn from others: Understand the broader solution landscape—we include both AI-driven solutions and simpler process improvements to show where you could best add value.
- Bridge to action: Once you select an idea that resonates, you can immediately continue with the wizard to build out a detailed use case and solution options.
This approach is especially valuable for organizations who don't have a data science team or big AI budget, but want to understand what's possible given their specific circumstances. It helps you move from "I don't know where to start" to "here are some concrete opportunities worth exploring."
Who Clairable is for
Clairable is especially useful if you are:
- a business owner, director or senior manager who keeps being asked, "What is our AI strategy?"
- a non-technical leader in finance, legal, operations, IT services or other professional services, who wants practical AI opportunities not hype
- a fractional or internal change leader who needs a repeatable way to collect problems, turn them into AI use cases and compare options
- a consultant or advisor who wants a structured starting point for AI conversations with your clients
If you feel pressure to "do something with AI" but are not sure what that something is, Clairable is for you.
Why I built Clairable
Clairable was created by Dr. Alex Essebier, a Brisbane-based applied scientist and AI consultant who kept seeing the same pattern in mid-market organisations.
Leaders were being sold big AI visions while still running critical processes out of email and spreadsheets. They were asking "What can AI do?" without a clear view of their own bottlenecks, risks and data.
Through years of building data science models and solutions, Alex learned that the real challenges facing organisations aren't just technical—they're fundamentally about people, processes, and technology working together. This insight led her to create Clairable: a tool that translates that understanding into actionable clarity, helping any business see what's truly possible given their specific circumstances, constraints, and capabilities.
What Clairable is not
It is not a generic AI chatbot. You do not need to learn prompting or guess what to type.
It is not legal, financial, compliance or technical advice. It helps you frame questions and opportunities, you still decide what to implement and should get professional advice where needed.
It is not tied to one vendor. Clairable suggests types of tools and approaches, not a single locked-in platform.
It is not a replacement for process and data work. It helps you see where AI might help, but you may still need to tidy underlying processes and systems to realise the full value.
Frequently asked questions about starting with AI
How do I start with AI in my business?
If you have a specific problem, start by listing your biggest operational headaches, manual processes and risks. Clairable guides you through that step, then suggests AI use cases and tools that target those problems first. If you're not sure where to begin, use our idea suggestions feature to see what similar businesses in your industry are exploring—this can help you discover opportunities you might not have considered.
How do I know which AI tools to use?
There is no single "best" AI tool. Clairable focuses on fit for purpose. It helps you define the job to be done, then suggests categories of tools and approaches that match your budget, risk appetite and current systems so you can shortlist options more confidently.
How do I assess AI ROI?
Clairable prompts you to estimate the time, errors or costs involved in your current way of working, then frames potential AI use cases in terms of time saved, risk reduced or revenue opportunity. It will not give you a perfect financial model, but it will give you a clearer sense of whether a use case is likely worth exploring.
Can I use Clairable if I am not technical?
Yes. Clairable is designed for non-technical leaders. The questions are plain language, and the output is written so you can share it with your team, board or external partners.
Does Clairable replace an AI consultant or internal data team?
No. Clairable gives you a strong starting point. You may still choose to work with internal teams or external partners to validate, design and implement the solutions identified.
Is Clairable free to use?
Currently Clairable offers a free tier. In future there may be paid plans for higher usage or additional features, but there will always be a way to explore AI opportunities at no cost.
Clairable takes privacy and safety seriously. We use OpenAI's API in a configuration where your data is not used to train OpenAI's models, and we store your information in secure infrastructure with role-based access controls. You can read more in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
